Proud moment for Women Cricket – Sana Mir becomes New Women ODI Top Bowler

Former Pakistan Women’s Captain Sana Mir has advanced to the top of ICC ODI bowling rankings.

Sana Mir – Proud Moment for Pakistan. The 32-year-old former captain gripped the number 1 place after her recent bowling performances of 1/37, 3/26 and 3/53 against Australia in the ICC Women’s Championship series in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The offspinner, who touched a career-best 663 rating points, interchanged positions with Australia’s Jonassen, who moved to No. 4. Mir also passed Australia pacer Megan Schutt, who is placed second with 660 points, and South Africa’s Marizanne Kapp.

However, her struggles went in vain as Australia cleaned the series 3-0. They passed New Zealand to head the Women’s Championship points table with 16 points in nine matches. Four clear of their neighbors. Pakistan, who have only accomplished to win 4 of their 9 matches are placed 6th, above Sri Lanka and South Africa.
